Step 1 — Stone Axe
Punch trees and rocks for the first wood and stone, then craft the axe. Everything starts here.
Requires: 5x Wood · 4x Stone

Step 2 — Hammer
Unlocks the build menu. Without it there is no base.
Requires: 3x Wood · 2x Stone

Step 3 — Workbench
Crafting, repairs and stops enemy spawns nearby. Always roofed.
Requires: 10x Wood

Step 4 — Shelter
Walls and a roof around the workbench: rested bonus and dry crafting.
Requires: 40x Wood

Step 5 — Bed and Fire
Sets your spawn and gives the rested bonus. Never skip it.
Requires: 8x Wood · 5x Stone

Step 6 — Flint Knife
First real weapon. Boars and necks become trivial.
Requires: 2x Wood · 4x Flint · 2x Leather scraps

Step 7 — Crude Bow
Hunt deer safely from range and stock arrows early.
Requires: 10x Wood · 8x Leather scraps

Step 8 — Leather Armor
Full set before the Black Forest: cheap and effective.
Requires: 18x Deer hide · 15x Bone fragments

Step 9 — Forge and Bronze
Mine copper and tin in the Black Forest, smelt bronze, unlock metal gear.

Step 10 — Iron Age
Swamp crypts with a pickaxe: iron unlocks the next tier.
Requires: 20x Iron · 2x Deer hide

Mountains with frost protection: silver for Wolf armor and Frostner.

Black metal, then Mistlands magic and Ashlands fire. Follow the bosses.
